Alice Rabin was an activist in Montgomery County, Maryland, in the 1960s and was involved in the efforts to alleviate poverty and to develop decent housing for low-income residents. She was an active member of the Montgomery County League of Women Voters. The collection consists of materials documenting Rabin's involvement in the League of Women Voters as well as information relating to Suburban Maryland Fair Housing. The Alice Rabin papers cover the period from 1963-1971; the bulk of the materials date from 1967-1971. The collection consists of reports, newsletters, clippings, and other files pertaining to Rabin's efforts to alleviate poverty and to develop decent housing for low-income residents in Montgomery County and her involvement in the League of Women Voters. This collection was donated to the University of Maryland Libraries by Alice Rabin in 1974.
